New Zealand superyacht builder Fitzroy Yachts launched Salperton IV last week, a 45m (148ft) luxury sailing yacht featuring a 61m (200ft) Southern Spars rig including Future Fibres PBO rigging.
Salperton IV was a repeat order for Fitzroy Yachts from the European owner of Salperton III. Adam Lay Studio was involved with the interior for a second time and Dubois again provided the naval architecture.
The new launch's mainsail measures 573m sq, part of a total sail area of 3,752m sq.
Featuring an owners' cabin, three guest cabins and three further cabins for six crew, Salperton IV left New Zealand for a three-month Pacific cruise, which will be followed next season by time in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
Established in 1997, Fitzroy Yachts is a division of Fitzroy Engineering. The yard is based in New Plymouth, on New Zealand's North Island.
