Lurssen has launched project J24, christened Phoenix2. It is the second yacht the yard has built for the same owner.

The original 60m (197ft) Phoenix was launched in 2004 and its success led to her owner commissioning the same design team — Andrew Winch Designs, Moran Yacht and Ship and Lurssen — to build an even bigger and more impressive yacht.

At 87m (286ft) Phoenix2 has a sundeck with a swimming pool and an exterior cinema. A sky lounge opens out onto an inside/outside dining area complete with glass screens.

The choice of internal fabrics and furnishings was influenced by 1930s New York while a full beam deco duplex apartment for the owner's suite provides undisturbed views out to sea.
