Abeking & Rasmussen's 72.5-metre explorer Cloudbreak has been out on the water ahead of her imminent delivery.

Cloudbreak was photographed this weekend on the lower reaches of the River Weser. The Espen Øino exterior design is certainly eye-catching, with an almost plumb bow and an emphasis on straight lines in the styling, while the grey paint scheme gives Cloudbreak a serious and seamanlike air. There is an unusual shuttered area aft on the main deck, while elsewhere an abundance of windows will open up the guest areas. Cloudbreak is scheduled for delivery later in May.

Inside, the yacht boasts a contemporary interior created by Christian Liaigre, with furnishings  selected by the PH.D design house. “With a gross tonnage of more than 2,200 tonnes, it is clear that the internal volume specification for this project will make the vessel one of the most substantial global explorer yachts of its kind,” Abeking & Rasmussen said when the yacht broke cover at the yard just before her launch.
Cloudbreak has been named after a Fijian reef famous of its exceptional surfing potential, perhaps indicating some of the global cruising aspirations of the yacht’s owner.
