Eddie Jordan’s tri-deck 155 Yacht – Sunseeker’s new flagship superyacht – hit the water for the first time yesterday at Sunseeker’s yard in Poole. Sea trials are due to start later this month after a period of commissioning. The yacht was first seen outside the shed two weeks ago.
This intense testing phase is expected to last up to three weeks before delivery to its owner in the early spring. The yacht has been commissioned by serial Sunseeker owner Formula 1’s Eddie Jordan, and the yard says he has taken advantage of the bespoke element of this superyacht to stamp his unique marque on it.
“This is an extremely exciting time for Sunseeker as we inch ever closer to the completion of the 155 Yacht. This is the biggest project we have ever undertaken and since the announcement of its build it has been the talk of the industry. We are incredibly proud of what we have created and look forward to showcasing it to the world,” says Stewart McIntyre, managing director at Sunseeker International.
