ISA Yachts has launched its biggest ever superyacht – the four-deck steel and aluminium 66M Grantourismo. With exterior styling by Andrea Vallicelli and an interior by Alberto Pinto, the Grantourismo form has been designed, says ISA, “for owners who love the sea and like to be outside”. “Both designers worked in close co-operation with the yard and the owner’s management team to combine both design and architectural aspects based on a strong contrast between the harmonious and curvaceous lines of the decks with the rigorous and diamond-like geometry of the transom and sundeck,” the yard says.
The naval architecture was developed in-house by ISA’s Technical Department in conjunction with BMT Nigel Gee, including a comprehensive four-month co-operation with Marin (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands) that involved an intense tank-testing programme to evaluate all possible sea conditions. The yacht has a top speed of 18 knots, while the stylish interior has been completed by List. The yacht will undergo final commissioning in the coming weeks.
