The latest Mangusta 165 has been sold by the Overmarine Group.

The Overmarine Group has announced the sale of its latest Mangusta 165: the twelfth unit of the 50-metre series. The yacht will be delivered in Europe next year.

The twelfth hull is a ‘165 E’, with the E standing for Evolution, the name given to the most current model, which boasts all the recent stylistic and technical innovations. The yacht features more muscular, aggressive lines, a single window at the height of the salon that offers excellent visibility from the inside, and a longer flybridge that gives the yacht an even greater dynamic boost.

You can expect speed, of course. Four 1,940kW (2,600hp) MTU 16V2000 M94 engines, coupled to Kamewa waterjets, deliver a 40-knot top speed. But Overmarine says that optimised use of the engineroom space and of four Seakeepers stabilisers mean a similar performance to previous yachts but a lower fuel consumption, The effectiveness of the stabilisation system is so great during cruising that the yacht can be used in displacement mode at 8-10 knots in total comfort at all times, expanding the range of speeds at which she can be used.

The interiors will be the work of the Overmarine Group’s artistic office, which has already set to work with the owner to decide the layout, furnishings and décor.

“Over the past few years we have established ourselves more and more as a leader in our sector, namely that of large, open semi-custom yachts. Our clients continue to choose our models,” says Francesco Frediani, group commercial director.
