Fincantieri's monster 140-metre Ocean Victory spotted off Singapore
Shown off Singapore in April, Fincantieri’s 140-metre Ocean Victory has been a rare sight on the water since her launch late last year. The Espen Øino design has been one of the most secretive projects of recent years, though we know she is the largest yacht ever built in Italy, and comfortably in the top ten of the biggest superyachts ever.
Nothing has been released about the yacht’s key features, although there are four decks above the main deck, and there are a series of folding terraces and doors along the lower deck. The interior is by Cabinet Alberto Pinto. Camper & Nicholsons’ broker Alex Lees Buckley introduced the client.
Giovanni Romano, head of Fincantieri Yachts, said at the launch: “Ocean Victory is the highest result that the shipbuilding and luxury technology have achieved in recent years. It confirms once more that we are able to compete on an even footing in a complex market. The reasons for this success are not only technological: they can be found in the unity and cohesion of our large team, who worked with competence and commitment every day – a team formed by Fincantieri, by the ship owner’s team, by the designers, suppliers and representatives of the classification registers.”
