The first gelcoat has been laid on the mould of Sunseeker’s biggest-ever build, the 155 Yacht. Fittingly, the company’s founder and president Robert Braithwaite was the man to do it. The new superyacht was commissioned by Eddie Jordan.
“Today is the beginning of the manufacturing process that will make my dream a reality. She will not be owned by many but those that do will be buying a craft of exceptional style, quality and innovation,” says Braithwaite (pictured below). The yacht is due for completion in December 2013.
With a 4,500-nautical-mile range, accommodation for up to 12 guests and ten crew, and coming in just below 500 gross tonnes, the semi-displacement, round bilge and long keel 155 Yacht incorporates innovative inset ship’s balconies, transverse garaging of tenders and toys, and a very private beach club with lower deck dayroom, folding platform and tender docking.
Robert Braithwaite paid tribute to the design and engineering teams at Sunseeker, whose hard work over the past three years has produced a stunning example to top the Sunseeker range.155 Yacht , Eddie Jordan , Sunseeker
