It is easy to appreciate the synergy between the fastest cars on earth with the biggest yachts on the water. What's rare is the opportunity to combine these two examples of technology and style. There is of course, the Monaco GP, F1's showpiece event. But now the superyacht crowd has a new name to toy with: the Yas Marina circuit, Abu Dhabi.
The brand new track will stage its first F1 race weekend this October and yachts berthed in the marina will have uninterrupted views of the 5.55km-long circuit. A slow, tight section snakes through the marina and the circuit is straddled by the stunning Yas Hotel with it's swirling veil of glass and steel.
