Top 10 Explorer Yachts for Charter

The results make fascinating reading, which we hope will inspire you to undertake your own adventure. After all, with an explorer yacht, the world really is your oyster.
Keepers of the Sea
Superyacht owners concerned about the oceans’ health are the driving force behind the International SeaKeepers Society, which is gathering data to help scientists the world over.
Since its inception more than a decade ago, the International SeaKeepers Society has collected more than 300 million meteorologic, climatologic and oceanographic measurements. As you read this, specialised equipment installed aboard more than 30 superyachts is in the process of collecting yet more measurements on ocean oxygen levels and pH balance, barometric pressure and wind speed, and much more. It’s an enormous amount of information that represents 6% of the world’s weather data – data that the global scientific community would otherwise not have at their disposal. And it’s all because a handful of individuals, yachtsmen and landlubbers alike, realised superyacht owners are just as dependent upon a healthy earth as scientists are.
The Seven Wonders of the Cruising World
The ancients had seven wonders to marvel at – for the modern superyacht owner, there are myriad extraordinary places to visit. We’ve selected the very best cruising destinations and natural phenomena you can see from your own yacht.
Mexico is not the first place most people associate with whale-watching but aficionados consider it one of the best places to see the awesome humpbacks. The start of the season in early April is the best time to go when the Sea of Cortez is teeming with wildlife. Panache is a particularly welcoming 33.5-metre Broward available for charter in the area. She carries just six guests in comfort for one of those trips of a lifetime. Captain John Butler tells us: “Honestly, trying to describe the magic of whale-watching is impossible. In the Sea of Cortez in high season, 20-30 individual whales can be seen in a day. Then there are dolphins playing and manta rays jumping out of the water. Sharing this over and over with people who have never had the experience is always a pleasure. For us, it’s like the ‘first time’ all over again. No wonder my crew love their jobs.”
