Privacy and seclusion are a superyacht owner’s priority and those searching for an undisturbed destination to drop anchor will struggle to find a more unique option than their own island. Innocence Island, located in the Bahamas’ Exuma chain of islands, combines exclusivity and accessibility, and is for sale at auction with a $10 million reserve through Concierge Auctions and Damianos Sotheby’s International Realty. The residence is easily reached by air (Innocence Island’s airstrip is one of the only private runways in the Bahamas with its own pilot code) and by boat from the main island of Little Exuma.
The 3,000-square-foot main residence perches on one of the island’s highest points, providing panoramic views of the 681 acres of native fruit trees, rolling terraced hills dense with tropical foliage, and six white sand beaches. The largest privately held island in the Bahamas has had four previous owners, and neighbours have included Johnny Depp and Aga Khan. The island’s current seller enthused, “I relish hearing the pilot announce our approach by calling out the island’s airport code, MYEY.”
The island will be auctioned on May 15th at Trump SoHo New York.
