After 18 months of construction Albany Marina — located at Providence Point in the Bahamas — will start welcoming its first superyachts early next month.

The first phase of the resort development was completed in August — including a 71-slip marina with a mile-long, 45m (150ft) wide channel — and a 15-acre deepwater basin with a depth of 4.8m (16ft).

The largest finger piers in the marina range from 15m-73m (50ft-240ft).

Superyachts will benefit from Albany Marina’s gangways which are rated for use by golf carts and large vehicles — as well as the concierge services and first-class crew facilities.

The resort will eventually boast an Ernie Els-designed golf course, marina residences, an equestrian center, and a luxurious beach club.

Slips are being sold through membership with the Albany Yacht Club.
