60m Excellence V to be delivered

60m Excellence V to be delivered

The new launch by the German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen will undergo intensive sea trials before being delivered to her owner in winter, again ahead of schedule. The sleek lined Excellence V will feature the same signature ‘whale tail’ bowed flare of the previous Excellence yacht series.

The hull of Excellence V has been built in steel with the superstructure made of aluminium. Her two MTU Diesel engines deliver a continuous rating of 1.495 kW each and a range of 4.400 nautical miles.

With a beam of incredible 12.80 meters Excellence V has about 50% more interior volume than all other 60 meter yachts Abeking & Rasmussen has built before. This is expressed by moving all guest cabins to the Main Deck with the rare luxury of large windows. The aft part features a dining room and a lounge.

The owner will live on the Upper Deck with his own terrace and pool. The crew of 18 lives in the Lower Deck, which also has a large Cinema Room seating up to nine and an associated Beach Club with a hatch that opens to a platform over the sea. An elevator serves all four decks including the Sun Deck.

The interior of Excellence V also features vibrant artistic creations, throw cushions as well as other ornate pieces which accentuate the look of the space.

After the delivery to her owner, Excellence V is supposed to sail directly to the Caribbean for the winter season.
