Abu Dhabi MAR recently converted two Dutch-built warships to private yachts. When launched, the 142m (465ft) Swift141 and the 136m (445ft) Swift135 will rank among the world’s largest superyachts afloat.

With top international managers recruited from the UAE and a number of yacht building nations, hundreds of skilled shipbuilders from 25 nations, and the cooperation of specialist sub-contractors and suppliers, Abu Dhabi MAR says that it has convened “the most modern yachtbuilding team globally available, with unsurpassed collective experience building or refitting superyachts”.

Located in a 200,000sq m facility in the UAE, Abu Dhabi MAR claims to be the first shipyard in the Gulf region to offer true full service, including full undercover construction, drydocking & refit, design and engineering, composite, joinery & metalworking, and more. The company is now expanding beyond The Emirates to offer new-build and refit facilities in other prime yachting locales.
