The Antibes Yacht Show is to host a live superyacht auction on Saturday, April 20, at 3.30pm. The main action takes place in the VIP Lounge of the International Yacht Club d’Antibes, with a live feed beamed back to the Star Deck in Monaco (above the Stars’n’Bars) allowing potential owners to bid remotely. The whole event is being dubbed the Prestige Yacht Auction, and is being organised by Monaco-based Morley Yachts. The Antibes Yacht Show itself runs from April 18-21.

The list of yachts offered for auction is still being put together but includes the 55-metre Turquoise (below), built by Proteksan and launched in 2011, and the 30.8-metre Matanthar, a 2000 launch from Heesen. The yachts are being sold subject to survey, and the organisers are working in tandem with leading brokerage houses. Yachts must be available for inspection for at least a month before the auction. Organisers are expecting a Eurocopter EC135 helicopter to also be on offer. For more information on the auction, email info@yacht-show-auction.com.
