Trimaran 36-metre with the emphasis on stability for use as a dive centre
Designed as a stable platform in its primary use as a dive centre, the all-steel 36-metre Baikal 36 trimaran features all the accommodation for 13 guests in the main hull. The work of Sergey Gmyra and Maksim Lodkin at Baikal Yachts, the vessel was conveived with input from dive professionals, and incorporates a technical diving room and a medical station. The 12 crew are housed in the side hulls.
Extensive solar panels will help charge the battery banks, while the dive centre is equipped to track all divers in the water using sensors, measuring submersion level, distance to the vessel, and approximate air reserve. The designers say the concept is scalable up to 46 metres.
