Edmiston is slashing the price of its brokerage yachts by as much as €12.5 million in a bid to stimulate sales. Lady Christina, a 62-metre Oceanco built in 2005, has been reduced from €65 million to €52.5 million, with similar percentage drops on a number of
other superyachts, both sail and power.
Jamie Edmiston is convinced that this is the right strategy to
help stimulate the market for brokerage. “We need to be realistic about the true value of yachts in the current market,” says Jamie. “We have to be frank with owners and match their expectations of what their yacht is worth with what the market is doing. If you’ve got the cash it’s the best time ever to buy a big yacht. There
are some outstanding deals to be had.”
