A fire erupted outside a hangar containing Eddie Jordan’s Sunseeker 155 superyacht in Poole this week.
Stewart McIntyre, managing director at Sunseeker, confirmed there was a blaze outside the building where the new 155 yacht is being built.
“Our client has been informed that there is no damage to his boat or disruption to the delivery schedule,” McIntyre said.
The cause of the fire has not been determined, but Dorset Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that it involved an extractor fan on the outside of the building.
This is the second blaze to break out at Sunseeker’s facility in Poole. In 2011 a fire destroyed a 34-metre yacht worth £9m.
