An undisputed star of last month’s Monaco Yacht Show was Galactica Star, the first of Heesen’s revolutionary 65-metre displacement hull form. New footage (below) showcases in more detail the extraordinary yacht, which took the MYS/Baccarat Prix du Design at the show.
With interiors by Bannenberg+Rowell, the superyacht’s exciting features include fold-down platforms not only aft, but to port too, creating a huge indoor-outdoor beach club area with bar, lounge and sunloungers. The tenders, stored in garages above with gull-wing doors, are easy to board from the beach area, and pools on the sundeck and aft deck add to the outdoor enjoyment.
Promising a 30% increase in efficiency allowing top speeds of 28 knots at 20% less power, she’s set to take her owners long distances, with a range of 4,200 nautical miles.
Watch the new video below (which stars a mermaid and a deck-dancing ballerina), and look out for our in-depth feature on Galactica Star in an upcoming edition of Superyacht World.
