Owning a superyacht, of course, is all about getting away from it all, and the owners of the 42-metre Troy Marine The Big Blue are currently maximising that potential by embarking on an extensive global adventure. We were lucky enough to be on board The Big Blue – which was in an immaculate state after an extensive refit at Derecktor – at the Fort Lauderdale show, as the owners made final preperations for the first leg of their cruise. Indeed, before the show had ended they had left their berth at Sails Marina. Special attention is being paid to the education of their children, with a tutor travelling with them to make sure they get their daily lessons.
We’ll be bringing you extensive updates and reports on the progress of The Big Blue on this site and in forthcoming print issues of the magazine. To see more images of the yacht, click here
