Exploring the latest advances in glass technology, the DP009 boasts panoramic full height views from the interior, not only to the aft decks but to the sides as well, from the floor to the ceiling.
The innovative design by Luiz de Basto also separates the aft decks from the walk around used by the crew, offering total privacy on the top deck which is exclusively dedicated to the owner, with a Jacuzzi installed on a private verandah facing forward.
Designed by Luiz de Basto to be recognized as a true Oceanco by its architecture and perfect proportions, the aft deck offers a swimming pool that can be converted to a helicopter landing pad.
Keeping with the use of glass on unexpected ways, the elevator and the main stairways are built in glass. The pilot house has a glass sun roof and the wing stations soles are also in glass. All this to assure lots of natural light and an unmatched feeling of openness and contact with nature, this concept blurs the dividing line between indoor and outdoor.
The new concept was specifically designed to maximise opportunities for outdoor living and direct contact with the marine environment: the outdoor areas are as enjoyable as the interior ones and the extensive sun deck with a shaded lounge area for alfresco dining on the main deck is one of the most noteworthy features.
A strong sense of individuality and inviting intimacy are the leitmotiv of the remarkable interior layout which divides the four guest rooms located on the main deck, from the VIP room on the bridge deck and the owner’s suite strategically placed on the upper deck with unobstructed views and privacy.
The profile has a unique sense of flawless and homogeneity between the glass and the aluminum superstructure: a constant exchange in shape and lines between the two elements, gives an overall image of lightness and glossy aesthetic, hard to achieve on a 90 meters megayacht.
One point that had top priority in developing this masterpiece has been the flexibility of the spaces by designing two boarding areas: from the swim platform and from two folding doors besides the garage on a lower deck, which can accommodate 2 x 10 meters tenders and up to 6-8 wave runners.
