Feadship’s Como on the water

The 2014 Baccarat SuperYacht World Trophy has been presented to superyacht owner Neville Crichton aboard his stunning new 46-metre Feadship Como at the Monaco Yacht Show.

The award celebrates Neville’s career as a superyacht owner, his passion for yachting and his ambition to drive yards to ever-greater feats of technology and artistry. The award also celebrates the achievements of Feadship, which has consistently delivered some of the very finest superyachts afloat by overcoming the technical challenges required to deliver exactly what the owner requires.

The unique piece, created by the master craftsmen at Baccarat, was handed to the owner of the Como, Neville Crichton by SuperYacht World editor Paul Ashton in front of a gathering of owners and industry heads.

“It is owners and yards together who drive this industry and it gives me great pleasure to hand this award to Neville Crichton, an owner who has consistently sought to push the boundaries of what can be achieved. The award also recognises the immense contribution of Feadship, not only for the work in building the wonderful Como, but for setting the standard for superyacht building that other yards follow,” said Paul Ashton, editor of SuperYacht World.

Daniela Riccardi, Global CEO Baccarat, said: “Baccarat is proud to have partnered with the SuperYacht World magazine to develop this trophy: 250 years of craftsmanship, perfection and passion have created a strong relationship between us and yachting owners across the world.”

Last year the inaugural trophey was handed to to the Elena Ambrosiadou after the stunning Maltese Falcon topped the magazine’s list of the top 50 finest superyachts.
