Based on an existing Oceanco platform, Sunny Memories is the work of Dennis Ingemansson Design.
“The lines of Sunny Memories are inspired by the Belle Epoque era. Art Nouveau emerged from this period, which was characterised by optimism, regional peace, economic prosperity and technological, scientific and cultural innovations,” says Dennis Ingemannson. “This art movement is distinguished by its curvilinear forms and nature-inspired motifs, and that is what I wanted to sketch: elegant, sleek and timeless exterior lines with classic and modern detailing.”
There are certainly some very strong curves in the yacht’s exterior, with only the run of vertical windows on the lower deck to break the feast of rounded edges. “Despite Sunny Memories’ generous dimensions, her lines have been drawn to express a visual sense of forward movement and speed. The large amidships area with darkened glazing cut out of the white superstructure creates an airy and in-motion effect. The interplay of empty and filled spaces optimises the large, forward-inclined and often-full-height windows, thus reducing the visual impact of the significant volumes,” says Dennis Ingemannson.
The extended main deck aft means there is room for a sizeable oval pool aft, with hot-tubs on the sundeck and forward on the dedicated owner’s deck. On this deck, the forward master suite is equipped with a private bar and big-screen TV room. A deck above is a wellness area with a gym and massage room, as well as an owner’s office. The main deck hosts six double guest staterooms. The steel-and-aluminium Sunny Memories has a projected top speed of 18.5 knots.
