The Piriou shipyard's three-boat Yacht Support Vessel range is designed to carry all your tenders and toys, and operate in all weathers.
The Piriou YSV range comes in three sizes – 62.5 metres, 53.4 metres and 40 metres – with each offering the opportunity of a more flexible cruising experience aboard the mothership. Piriou’s flagship 62.5-metre YSV 63 (above) has a 5,000-nautical-mile range, with power options to deliver a top speed of 20 knots. The helideck will be certified to MCA LY3 and can take a 5,000kg helicopter. She will accommodate 20 crew.
The 53.4-metre YSV 53 (above) also boasts a punchy predicted top speed of 21 knots, with a huge flush deck aft. She can be configured with two suites for guests and has the capacity to take a 3,000kg helicopter.
YSV 40 (above) is the baby of the range at 40 metres, but she’s as hardcore a vessel as the rest of the fleet and capable of touch-and-go heli operations. The 40 is based on Piriou’s existing 40-metre supply vessel.
Piriou will be showcasing its YSV range at the Monaco Yacht Show in September. The shipyard, based in Concarneau, has a long history in building rugged commercial ships and last year launched the innovative 73.3-metre superyacht Yersin, winner of the Baccarat SuperYacht World Award at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show.
