Silver, the 74m (243ft) Espen Oeino-designed motoryacht built by Hansiatic Marine in Australia, has been sold by brokers working for the sales division of Yachting Partners International.

Long, sleek, fast and with a draught of just 2.35m (8ft), she can sail where many smaller yachts cannot and with a cruising speed of 25kt she can get there fast.

Widely admired since her launch in 2007 for her sleek, efficient, low-profile design combined with exceptionally high standards of construction, the yacht boasts full SOLAS compliance. She can, as a result, carry more than the usual 12 guests, legally looking after 18 passengers in comfort and safety.

The brokerage deal, believed to be the largest the yachting industry has seen since September 2008, was pulled together in record time and with minimum fuss, contradicting rumours of falling sales in luxury goods and of large yacht builders filing for creditor protection.
