Steven Spielberg has cleared his filming commitments this summer so he can travel the world on his 86-metre superyacht Seven Seas, the Sunday Times reports.

The director will take his wife, actress Kate Capshaw, and his seven children on the 30,000-mile adventure after the Cannes international film festival.

The trip is reportedly a childhood dream come true for Spielberg, who confessed to suffering from seasickness during the filming of blockbuster ‘Jaws’.

The Hollywood director bought the Oceanco-built superyacht in 2010.

Seven Seas boasts some unique features such as a projector that throws images onto the glass wall of the aft infinity pool, allowing Spielberg and his guests to swim whilst watching films.

The superyacht also has a professional projection system and a 5m x 2m screen in the main salon, which can be transformed into a screening theatre.

The Spielberg family are expected to visit a range of the director’s favourite movie locations including North Africa and Sri Lanka, where ‘Indiana Jones’ was made, Shanghai, where ‘Empire of the Sun’ was filmed, and Hawaii, home to the ‘Jurassic Park’ sets.
