The UK’s Veritais Ltd, part of the Marine AV Group, has won the contract for the supply, installation support and commissioning of audio-visual systems onboard a 42m (138ft) gullet designed by David Wright Design. The yacht is due for launch in Turkey in August 2011.
The project is based around a Lantic Entertainment System, a 4TB Raid 5 centralised media server, satellite TV distribution, Internet and email access, audiophile components, full HD TVs and monitors, CCTV systems and cabling infrastructure.
The Lantic system provides the backbone to a complete entertainment solution with distribution of full HD 1080p Blu-ray movies and music content throughout the vessel. In addition local Blu-ray drives will also be installed in the master and guest cabins.
Lantic’s full iPod integration will allow iPod menus to be displayed on screen for easy navigation and control using the iconic Lantic remote control in each zone. A Lantic 5.1 surround sound system will be installed in the main saloon using ‘hidden’ transducer loudspeaker technology and a 40in HD monitor on motorised TV lift.
The six guest cabins will include the full entertainment provision of Lantic’s centralised music and movie library, local Blu-ray drive and iPod integration, satellite TV and high-quality audiophile loudspeakers.
Crew welfare has also been taken care of with 18in TV/DVD units, satellite TV distribution plus local iPod in the Captain and Engineer’s cabins. The Crew Mess includes a full HD Blu-ray system and 3.1 audio cinema system whilst the crew cabins will be fitted with a DVD/CD/iPod entertainment centre and 8in screen for each crew member.
The CCTV system includes digital video recording and playback facility and will integrate fully with the main Lantic system.
All external areas will be taken care of using premium waterproof audio components and remote controls, ensuring the full suite of entertainment facilities is not limited to internal areas only.
Veritais will begin shipping the preliminary components over the next few weeks.
