Our editor at large Mike Edwardson reports from Day 2 of the Antibes Yacht Show

Visitors, exhibitors and show organisers all agreed that day one of the Antibes Yacht Show was a success. As the show closed for the day, exhibitors hosted drinks on their stands and I had an opportunity to talk to brokers. Many, including Fraser, Ocean Independence and Bluewater, happily told me that client meetings had been positive throughout the day.

Overnight rain and gloomy clouds did not deter hardy yachties from visiting day two of the show (and despite the threatening storm, some optimistic Antibes ladies preferred to stick to the South of France summer dress code!).

Everyday the show organisers host seminars on a diverse range of topics from within the marine industry. The many yacht captains at the show are spending time in their own ‘hideaway’, a place to eat or just chat with their fellow captains.

With one eye on the weather, it is now time to visit two more yachts from my list. Don’t miss my mini yacht report and show roundup on Monday!
