The Columbus 40SH, which has been renamed Eleonora III, has been sold to a US client, with Dean Anthony of Allied Marine’s superyacht division acting for the buyer, and the commercial office of Palumbo Group, headed by Giuseppe Palumbo, acting for the yard's side.
The yacht, which launched in 2013, is the first Columbus sold to a US client. The yard says that the buyer has been so impressed he has agreed to be a brand ambassador for Columbus Yachts in the Americas in a long term co-operation. He has also ordered a restyling of the interior. The Columbus 40SH will spend this summer in the Mediterranean and then relocate to the US.
The 40SH is a semi-displacement all-aluminum yacht, powered by a hybrid propulsion package and is capable of a top speed of 20 knots, and the yacht is also able to cruise quietly and economically using only her diesel electric motors.
Eleonora III sleeps ten guests in five staterooms with an owner’s stateroom and study on the main deck. She accommodates seven crew. There are plenty of options for guests, with open and shaded deck spaces. The Columbus 40SH is rated RINA class Hybrid Prop, LY2 (LY3 for any 2016 version), and Green Plus (Y).
