The extraordinary 78.2-metre, Philippe-Starck-designed Feadship Venus, commissioned by the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, has been photographed cruising the Caribbean over the New Year. These photos, posted on instagram by @woodsholeinn, show the superyacht off Norman Island, south of Trotola in the British Virgin Islands.

The all-aluminium yacht features extensive use of glass. “It’s something else. It is a Steve Jobs work. It is not like a lot of megayachts showing the vulgarity of money. It’s a boat showing the elegance of intelligence,” said Philippe Starck after the launch in 2012. The yacht remains in the hands of the Jobs family.
