Five great new superyachts at the Cannes show

Running from September 9-14, the Cannes Boat Show has a strong superyacht presence, with almost 40 yachts above 30 metres confirmed. The bulk of the brokerage yachts are across the harbour in Port Pierre Canto, while the Superyacht Extension to the Vieux Port is the place to head for the yachts making their debut. We’ve selected five great launches that should be on anyone’s must-see list.

1 Riva

Riva 122 Mythos

The biggest-ever Riva was always going to be a head-turner, and on the water the all-aluminium Mythos looks a beast in her silver paint scheme. This model has only three cabins below as specified by the owner but four and five cabin versions are available. See her at: TBC

 

2 Baglietto

Baglietto 46M

This Francesco Paszkowski-styled 46-metre is a real statement of intent from the reborn Baglietto yard, and marks the first of five launches of yachts up to 55 metres. The interior, by Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini, is a “harmonious contradiction between features inspired by purest minimalism and by nature”, says the yard. See her at: SYE116-SYE013

 

3 Benetti

Benetti Tradition Supreme 108 Paradis

The 32.9-metre, which was launched in June, is a new member of Benetti’s composite Tradition range, and is the yard’s entry-level tri-deck displacement yacht. She’s innovative, too, with hybrid propulsion – twin 35kW electric engines supplement the 735kW MANs. See her at: TBC

 

4 Fillippetti

Filippetti Navetta 30

The first example of Filippetti’s Navetta range is this 30-metre, which boasts six cabins and a revised layout in accordance with the owner’s expressed wish to have as many private spaces as possible. The interior is a contrasting mix of American walnut and ivory leather. See her at: TBC

 

5 JFA Yachts

JFA Yachts 164 Explorer

With naval architecture by Bill Dixon, JFA Yachts‘ new explorer has plenty of traditional seamanlike pedigree, and yet the styling is clean and contemporary – with only three decks, she has a low profile, though there is a neat little observation recess on the upper-deck roof.
