The 47-metre displacement superyacht was christened M/Y Asya by her owners during a private launch ceremony at the Heesen facility in Oss.
Her exterior lines, with their distinctive continuous glued glass windows and black paintwork on the upper and and main decks, are by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, whilst her interior is designed by the Bannenberg & Rowell team. A brief for a sophisticated and calming interior complements a Far Eastern influence, with silver-grey oiled oak, mid-gloss lacquer, silk and bronze with contrasting dark makassar ebony and polished stainless steel detailing and accents.
A highly engineered steel hull and bulbous bow ensure a smooth passage through a range of sea conditions, with a top speed of 15 knots. She is due to be delivered in February.
