The 77-metre Smeralda was launched on schedule at Hanseatic Marine in Henderson, Western Australia – the largest superyacht to be built in Australia. Designed by Espen Øino, the sleek-hulled aluminium yacht boasts a top speed close to 30 knots, and a range of around 4,500 nautical miles at an 18-knot cruise. Her contemporary interior was designed by Andreas Holnburger of Vain Interiors in Germany, and features American walnut panelling, high-gloss lacquers, sculptured carpets, woven leathers and stonework. There are nine cabins in all, with the owner’s apartment occupying the entire upper deck level and featuring a private aft-facing deck area. Aft on the main deck is an air-conditioned alfresco dining area with removable glass panels. The yacht also boasts a helicopter pad, a glass-fronted hot-tub and an outdoor cinema. She is offered for sale by Burgess.
