The 80-metre Project 263, signed to a repeat client by the Bilgin yard in Turkey, is nearing the start of its build.
The steel and aluminium yacht’s general arrangement is being finalised, along with the engineering and preparation for the build. The yard says that tank testing is scheduled for later this month, and that the first steel for the hull will be cut by the beginning of March. Project 263 will be built to ABS class and LY3 compliance, and is pegged for delivery in 2019.
Styled by Unique Yacht Design, the yacht is the third project that Bilgin has created for this client, and is the largest the yard has produced. The yard announded the signing of the project in December. Guest accommodation is expected to feature a master suite, three VIPs and four guest suites. The Bilgin 80-metre has a design speed of 18 knots, with a projected 14-knot cruise.
