Dynamiq has unveiled a three-model range of superyachts designed under the GTT banner – Gran Turismo Transatlantic – offering long-range cruising and a turn of speed.
With aluminium hulls, a shallow draught and a top speed of over 20 knots, the Dynamiq’s Gran Turismo superyachts will be – says the yard – flexible cruising machines, with Monaco to St Tropez reached in just over two hours or Miami to the Galapagos on one tank of fuel. The range begins with the 36.6-metre D4, which is in build at the NCA shipyard in Carrara, Italy, and is due to launch in summer 2016. The S4 Sport model is the same LOA, while the D4 L is a 40-metre limo version of the base model.
Dutch naval architects Azure developed the efficient hull with a vertical stem, with further optimisation by Van Oossanen. The base model is equipped with MAN diesels and Fortjes pod-drives, giving a top speed of 21 knots, while the S4 Sport version features MTUs and larger pods for a top speed of 25 knots. A potential owner can choose a four or five-cabin arrangement and there are crew quarters for six. The interior features a main-deck salon with a dedicated forward dining area, while owner and guest ensuite cabins are located amidships on the lower deck. Bannenberg & Rowell have created the base interior design. Materials and finishes can be customised by the client, and there is also the option for a fully bespoke interior design from Bannenberg & Rowell for a fixed cost. The interior of the D4 in build will feature Hermès, Loro Piana and Armani Casa, THG bathroom fittings, Christofle cutlery and Baccarat glassware.
Dynamiq is also offering an “online configurator” on the company’s site at www.bedynamiq.com – allowing an owner to look at changes to the exterior paint scheme on a graphical model, as well as change technical equipment, style accents, crew uniforms, and even order a crew car. The configurator features running total pricing and delivery date for the customised yacht. “This transparency in pricing and delivery schedule is set to revolutionise the way series superyachts are specified and ordered,” Dynamiq says.
“Our goal is to create a next-generation yacht for a new era – efficient, clean, easy to order and customise,” says Sergei Dobroserdov, the company’s founder and CEO. The base price for the D4 is €13.9 million, while the D4 L will start from €14.75 million. The S4 Sport is available from €15.15 million. Sales will be co-ordinated by Hein Velema of Worth Avenue Yachts.
