The 55-metre Atlante hits the water at CRN's yard in Ancona.
CRN has launched the 55-metre steel and aluminium Atlante, with a striking exterior designed by Nuvolari Lenard. “The outer lines have been developed with a specific final look in mind – aggressive, but at the same time very proportionate. This is a high-impact yacht, whose determined military look becomes soft on the sea. We had to find some original solutions, such as a non-traditional bow and areas entirely devoted to guests, like the side doors of the main deck that, once the tenders have been launched, can be exploited to the fullest,” says Dan Lenard of Nuvolari Lenard. The yacht had been moved into position in April for launch last weekend.
Naval architecture is by CRN’s engineering department. “Launching a new yacht is always a moment of great pride for the entire shipyard, as emotions go hand in hand with the satisfaction of knowing that each of our products is going to represent ‘made-in-Italy’ yachting across the world’s seas. Atlante is an extraordinary jewel. We are deeply grateful to the owning company for choosing us to build such an extraordinary yacht, to the design firm Nuvolari Lenard, who have confirmed their incredible creativity, and to all CRN’s workers and subcontractors,” says CRN’s chairman and CEO Lamberto Tacoli.
Atlante has a top speed of 15 knots. She will now undergo final fitting-out and sea trials.
