Explorer yacht concept Project Queequeg from Federico Fiorentino is designed to "sail every sea from the French Riviera to the Antarctic"
Project Queequeg is a 56-metre steel-and-aluminium concept designed to offer go-anywhere cruising for up to 12 guests. Federico Fiorentino says his yacht has a “strong exterior look with a calm, generous soul” (the project’s name comes from a memorable character in that greatest of sea adventures, Melville’s Moby Dick). You can see something military in the sharp lines, which culminate at the distinctive bow.
The yacht is designed for 12 guests and 13 crew. The owner’s suite on the upper deck boasts a private terrace equipped with an enclosed gym and a skeet area, while a full-beam VIP suite is forward on the main deck. There are two doubles and two twins on the lower deck. Facilities in this initial concept include a wellness centre aft after under the swimming pool, while the upper deck can be configured for heli operations.
