Cid is the latest yacht to leave the Feadship yard in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands. At 35 metres, she is one metre longer than, and a close sistership to, three yachts delivered last year, Kamino, Moon Sand Too and Avatar. Her launch was followed by a maiden cruise along the Dutch canals before she undergoes sea trials.
She enjoys similar masculine lines to her smaller sisters, designed in-house by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects. Her huge glass windows allow plenty of light in, and are one of the highest percentages of glass on an exterior profile of any Feadship ever built.
The owner wanted a yacht that would afford him and his friends the superyacht lifestyle but not be so big as to exclude the party from exploring smaller bays and marinas. The owner was very involved in the project and visited the yard multiple times during the build.
The yacht will undergo sea trials in the North Sea before being handed over in time for the summer season.
