The Cannes Yachting Festival, which starts tomorrow and runs until September 13, features hundreds of yachts across all size ranges, but there are plenty of new yachts above 30 metres (and don't forget the dozens of desirable brokerage superyachts at the Port Pierre Canto site). We've selected five of the must-see new superyachts at the show.

Sanlorenzo SD126

Making her debut at Cannes, and then heading across to the Fort Lauderdale show in November, the 38-metre SD126 is the latest Paszkowski-designed semi-displacement yacht from the yard, with exterior and interior styling by Marty Lowe. The yacht features some great exterior deck spaces, including a foredeck hot-tub (there’s another on the sundeck), and the signature terrace off the main salon. See her at: Jetee 123

Cantieri della Marche Storm

This Darwin 107 has been created for an experienced British owner who is planning to spend a third of the year on the water. This is a yacht that doesn’t care what the elements throw at her, though there are also plenty of creature comforts in the traditional interior, created by PFA Design. See her at: SYE184-SYE047

Southern Wind Shipyard Seawave

Featuring a raised salon, Seawave is the fourth in the 31.8-metre SW 102 series, and she already has the 7,000-mile sail from Cape Town to the Mediterranean under her belt. Naval Architecure is by Farr Yacht Design, with interior and exterior styling by Nauta Yachts. There is space for eight guests and five crew. See her at: SYE176-SYE042

Benetti Vivace 125

The second yacht in Benetti’s fast displacement range (the Veloce 140 is the flagship), she features Azipull propulsion and Benetti’s D2P (displacement to planing) hull. Stefano Righini’s exterior styling gives the yacht a sporty exterior. See her at: SYE164-SYE032

Baglietto 43M Fast

Francesco Paszkowski’s exterior styling gives the 43M a wonderfully sleek exterior, and it’s more than just show: the yacht delivers a top speed of 28 knots. She sleeps ten guests and seven crew, and her sistership is in build. See her at: SYE170-SYE036
