Hodgdon Yachts have launched the hull of their anticipated 100-foot carbon sailing boat and announced that she will compete in the Rolex Sydney to Hobart race.

In March the yard reported on the successful infusion of the carbon fibre hull mould, which was one of the largest single hull infusions ever done in the USA. She will now be towed from the Hodgdon yards in East Boothbay, Maine, where she was launched on 27 September, to the Newport Shipyard, Rhode Island, where her keel and rig will be fitted. She will then make the long voyage to Sydney aboard a ship before reaching the starting line for the Boxing Day start of the infamous blue water classic, which covers 628 gruelling nautical miles.
