The Dutch yard has announced it has started build on a 36-metre yacht.
Mulder – who last year gave us both 28.7-metre Firefly and 34-metre Solis – has announced it has started build on a 36-metre yacht, which will be the largest the Dutch yard has built to date.
“The basic concept behind this exciting new yacht is to make the most out of a volume not exceeding 300 GT,” says Dick Mulder. “This will open up excellent possibilities for both private use and chartering, with the possibility of having a relatively small crew on board when the owners are onboard.”
All aluminium, the yacht will feature a sleek modern exterior and plumb bow. Foregoing the current fashion for wide beams, the yacht will have a width of no more than 8-metres, which the yard says coupled with the long waterline, will ensure outstanding seakeeping abilities in rough seas.
Five cabins can accommodate up to 10 guests, with a full beam owners’ suite forward. This space also has access to a private sunken seating area on the bow. Aft is a large entertaining area comprising a salon, bar and dining area, the latter of which will benefit from a fold down balcony amidships.
The sun deck will be home to a large whirlpool hot tub, lots of sunpads and a dining area. The main deck aft will also enjoy an al fresco dining and seating options, whilst a large beach club will also be an attractive place to relax.
The 36-metre yacht will also feature a Williams Dieseljet 625 tender and two PWCs.
As on Solis, Claydon Reeves has designed the yacht with International Yacht Register as owners’ representative. “We enjoyed working closely with Mulder Shipyard during the fast-paced design and build development of Solis,” says Mike Reeves from Claydon Reeves Design. “We share similar values and aim to achieve a high-quality, authentic product. As a result, the new 36-metre yacht will be practical, finely detailed and have a wide appeal.”
“The quality and workmanship of Mulder Yachts speak for itself,” says Stephen White from International Yacht Register. “We look forward to working with all parties to build on that success and help the latest build surpass expectations. Mulder Shipyard is certainly on the move and we are delighted to be associated with them.”
The yacht is due for completion in the summer of 2017.
