Princess Yachts’ 40-metre Imperial Princess – the yard’s biggest-ever yacht, and also its first tri-deck – has been handed over to the new owners in Jersey last weekend and was reportedly heading towards the Mediterranean.
The owner of the yacht has opted for the five-cabin layout, with two VIPs and two twin cabins below, and the full-beam owner’s suite forward on the main deck.
The interior styling is in collaboration with Bannenberg & Rowell. Horizontal-grained satin walnut has been used for the bulkheads, with wenge for the flooring on the main deck and walnut in the sky lounge. The dining and coffee tables are in macassar ebony.
There should be plenty of outdoor spaces for entertaining, and the sundeck boasts a bar and hot-tub, though the generous space on the bridge deck aft will be a popular haunt. The yacht’s twin MTUs should deliver a top speed around 22 knots.
