The arrival of the 40-metre Sunseeker 131 Yacht for the London Boat Show, where she is making her debut from tomorrow, required the temporary closure of a runway at London City Airport, allowing the yacht to pass through King George V lock on her journey up the Thames.

The 131 Yacht, named Zozo, is the biggest-ever yacht to debut at the London Boat Show, which runs from January 8-17. Sunseeker International will be hosting previews for clients during the show that include a private transfer by an Airbus H135 helicopter from their homes to the ExCeL centre.

Last December, we reported that demand for the new model – a development of the yard’s successful 40M Yacht – has been exceptional, with five already sold and in build.

A standout feature of the new yacht is the use of additional glass in the master stateroom, main salon and upper salon to create a light-filled and relaxed environment. The standard configuration is for ten guests in five cabins, with scope for up to 12. On the lower deck, the garage can accommodate a tender of up to six metres plus two PWCs.

Based on the classic Sunseeker’s tried-and-trusted deep-vee hull, the Sunseeker 131 Yacht has a range of 1,500 nautical miles at ten knots, with a top speed of 23 knots.

“The London Boat Show is always extremely exciting and draws a truly international selection of clients. I am delighted we are launching this special new yacht, the first – and largest – of four new Sunseeker models set to debut in 2016. The first five 131s have already been sold to clients from all over the world, underlining the strong demand and global appeal we’re seeing for this exciting new evolution in design. We look forward to welcoming existing and new customers during the show,” says Sean Robertson, sales director at Sunseeker International.
