Production is now well under way on Sunseeker’s biggest ever build, the 155 Yacht. The first gelcoat has been laid on the mould of the 155 and fittingly, the company’s founder and president Robert Braithwaite was the man to do it. The new superyacht was commissioned by Eddie Jordan, who was at the yard in May to meet the Sunseeker team and monitor progress. The yacht is due for completion in December 2013.
The yacht has a 4,500-nautical-mile range, accommodation for up to 12 guests and ten crew, and coming in just below 500 gross tonnes, the semi-displacement, round-bilge and long-keel 155 Yacht incorporates innovative inset ship’s balconies. Other features include transverse garaging of tenders and toys, and a very private beach club with lower deck dayroom, folding platform and tender docking.
