Feadship's innovative 83.5-metre hybrid superyacht Savannah has been filmed by drone making her way along the Oude Rijn.

Feadship’s hybrid Savannah, which launched in January, provided the residents of the town on Alphen aan der Rijn with a fascinating distraction as she negotiated the waterway. The huge main deck swimming pool can clearly be seen aft. “The owner of Savannah loves to be at one with the water. This phenomenal design allows him to run from the main salon and dive straight into the sea,” says the owner’s project manager Ted McCumber.

The yacht combines a single Wärsilä diesel engine, three gensets, a battery bank, a contra-roatating azimuthing prop and a streamlined hull shape. Together, these offer claimed fuel economies of 30%. Further innovation comes in the form of a ‘floating’ superstructure and an underwater lounge.
