The hull of Perini Navi’s C.2218 – the second of the yard’s new generation 60-metre sailing yachts to be sold – has been turned at Perini’s yard in Istanbul. It is set to be transferred to Perini’s Viareggio yard for outfitting, with handover scheduled for 2014.

The C.2218 sloop, designed by Perini Navi naval architects in collaboration with New Zealander Ron Holland, will be equipped with the new generation Perini Navi sail handling equipment and a centreboard varying the draught from 12.30 to 4.30 metres. The interior, which includes a full-beam owner’s suite and is able to accommodate up to 12 guests in five cabins, has been designed in-house by Perini Navi.
