Be Mine at the Vollenhove yard for refit

Two refits of Lürssen yachts are nearing completion at Royal Huisman’s Huisfit.

Work on the 93-metre sailing yacht Eos includes a repaint of the hull, superstructure and spars, an overhaul of the deck equipment and an update of the deck materials, work on the masts and mechanical updates including a five-year Lloyds re-certification and new air conditioning.

Eos has been at the seaport of Harlingen on Holland’s north coast for most of her refit, although engineering works on the three-masted schooner are taking place at the yard in Vollenhove, Holland.

Also undergoing work is the 40-metre Be Mine, also built by Lürssen. Launched in 1991, she is undergoing a paint job of her underwater body and superstructure as well as deck updates including construction on her sun deck, main deck and hull portholes. Her upholstery and electric systems are also being upgraded.

The service continues to be successful after its launch last summer as a division of the larger company, and Huisfit’s refits can take place at any deep water location in Holland.
