Riva has announced plans to build yachts up to 100-metres over the next few years. After the confirmation at the Monaco Yacht Show that a 50-metre custom line was in the project stage, a 68-metre is now also due to follow suit, also in steel, with projects eventually developing towards the 100-metre market.

RivaThe first 50-metre displacement yacht will be built at Ferretti Group’s shipyards in Ancona which specialises in 45-metre plus yachts in steel, aluminium and composite materials, and where the largest Riva so far, the new 122’ Mythos, was built.

Featuring an overall length of almost 50-meters and a 9-meter beam, the living space will cover 4 decks and be capable of hosting 12 guests and 9 crew.

The yacht will have flexible interior spaces for owner customisation, with sleek and dynamic exterior lines. The shipyard will propose several layout versions for the main and upper decks, including living and dining spaces.

The beach club in the aft area of the lower deck will contain a cocktail bar and living room, with a collapsible door that turns into a swim platform. An optional door to starboard will convert into a terrace at sea level. To port, an innovative drive-in tender garage will allow for easy guest transfer on a tender up to 6-metres long.

Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group, said: “Riva is ready to step into this market segment as a leader. Thanks to the support of our shareholders, who are truly in love with this brand, and thanks to the efforts of the numerous teams involved in this project, we will be able to offer owners magnificent works of art cruising the seas, characterized by Riva’s unmistakable style.”
