The 77-metre Smeralda has been launched on schedule at Hanseatic Marine in Henderson, Western Australia – the largest superyacht to be built in Australia.

Designed by Espen Øino, the sleek-hulled aluminium yacht boasts a top speed close to 30 knots, and a range of around 4,500 nautical miles at an 18-knot cruise. Smeralda is the third in the ‘Silver’ series launched by the yard, following her sisters Silver (2007) and Silver Zwei (2010) onto the water.

Her contemporary interior was designed by Andreas Holnburger of Vain Interiors in Germany and features American walnut panelling, high-gloss lacquers, sculptured carpets, woven leathers and stonework. The big picture windows in the main salon offer panoramic views and plenty of natural light. There are nine cabins in all, with the owner’s apartment occupying the entire upper deck level and featuring a large private aft-facing deck area. Aft on the main deck is an air-conditioned alfresco dining area with removable glass panels.

The yacht also boasts a helicopter pad, a glass-fronted hot-tub, an outdoor cinema and a nightclub sound system. The forward gull-wing doors house the vessel’s inventory of water toys, while the expansive sea-level beach club provides a day spa.

With sea trials due to take place in a few weeks, she is scheduled for a summer delivery. She is offered for sale by Burgess. Email: london@burgessyachts.com
