VSY Viareggio Superyachts’ magnificent 72-metre flagship Stella Maris is being readied for her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September. She will remain on hard-standing at the yard for some weeks, before being moved to a floating pontoon in La Spezia for finishing and handover to her new Portuguese owner in July.
The yacht’s purposeful exterior styling is by Espen Øino, while the interior by Studio Reverberi echoes the open and light-filled themes of the main guest areas. Deck-to-ceiling windows mean that natural light floods the interior, ensuring that the yacht’s most intriguing feature – a space for climbing house plants – will please any gardeners aboard, and it gives this go-anywhere explorer a homely touch, wherever she is in the world.
With a certified helideck this is a yacht that will be at home in the wildest environments; the dedicated guest deck, the separate owner’s deck, and the hamman, sauna, gym, twin spa pools and massage room, mean that even the most ardent explorers can take the smooth with the rough.
Luciano Scaramuccia, managing director of VSY, says that the 72-metre is conceived in line with the yard’s values, reflecting the fusion of avant-garde technology and the excellence of genuine Italian craftsmanship and proper respect for the environment.
